About Me-ow
I’m Lula, the human behind Catmaleon Design and a passionate cat lover...
...and this is my story.
Ever since I was a young girl, I've been a whirlwind of energy and a passionate cat lover. But at age four, everything changed when I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. My world of movement and play was replaced by hospitals and treatments.
The right medication brought some relief, but by then, over 50% of my mobility was gone, leaving me disabled and in constant pain.
That's when I discovered a new world through drawing.
Art became my sanctuary, filled with talking cats, funny creatures, and nature elements. It was a place where my imagination knew no bounds. Even as my hands began to feel the effects of my illness, I held onto my art with fierce determination. I became an architect, and I kept drawing with passion.
Since then, drawing has been my constant companion, my "happy place."
Now, in my 40s, I still create with passion and dedication, celebrating the beauty in life's challenges. My art is not just about creating whimsical or cute pieces; it's about inspiring others to face life's hurdles with courage and positivity. Through my journey, I hope to show that with the right attitude, we can find beauty and joy along the way. Whether it's through my drawings, my passion for cats, or my stories of perseverance, I hope to connect with and uplift everyone who encounters my work. Life is unpredictable and often challenging, but with passion and positivity, we can overcome and thrive.
